Let the Sun of Righteousness arise
with Healing and Restoration!
I have heard that the corona virus evaporates and dies when it is hit with enough direct sunshine. We can pray for an abundance of sunshine across our nation over the next several weeks. Also, if you have faith to do it, you can say, “clouds, be removed at this time and sun, shine brightly across our nation.” We will continue to pray, declare God’s Word, and command as the Holy Spirit leads us and things will continue to turn around and restoration will increase (Proverbs 18:20-21, 12:14, Luke 6:45, Mark 11:23).
In Malachi 4:2a, Jesus is called “the Sun of righteousness”: “But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings” (NKJV). Not only can we pray for more natural sunshine, but we need Jesus, our Sun of righteousness to shine across our nation. Remember the song we sang years ago:
“Shine, Jesus, shine! Fill this land with the Father’s glory.
Blaze, Spirit, blaze! Set our hearts on fire.
Flow, river, flow! Flood the nations with grace and mercy.
Send forth Your Word, Lord, and let there be light!”
This is a good prayer and declaration of faith for us to speak or sing today.
The first part of Malachi 4:2, in the Ronald Knox translation reads, “But to you who honor My name there shall be a sunrise of restoration. . . ” A sunrise of restoration! Only God can supernaturally restore our economy and bring the spiritual and physical health we need. Let’s believe Him for restoration of all good things that we need to do His will.
Malachi 4:2a in the Amplified Bible reads: “But unto you who revere and worshipfully fear my name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings and in His beams. . .”
I believe that not only the natural sunshine, but also beams of light from the Sun of Righteousness are overcoming this virus. We choose to walk in the fear of the Lord and we say, “Let the Sun of Righteousness arise with great healing beams of light!” Thank God, that,
Like rays of light from the morning sun bringing healing
and restoration, the Risen Christ beams forth light and healing
to all who believe and fear Him. (Malachi 4:2)
Jesus is the Sun of Righteousness and the Light of the World. And it is He who brings the dawning of spiritual light: “Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet in the way of peace” (Luke 1:78-79, NKJV).
Today we must draw near to Jesus and believe His Word and stay as close to Him as possible.
