Poem #5: Receiving God’s Rest

This is the rest, in which You call the weary to rest.
This is the refreshing of the Lord.
This is the rest, in which you may call the weary to rest.
This is the refreshing of the Lord.
Returning and rest, quietness and peace,
Safety and confidence from the Lord;
Easy and Light,
He gives the strength and the might.
This is the refreshing of the Lord.
 
There is a rest for the people of God.
There is a rest for those who call on His Name.
There is a rest for those believing God’s promises;
believing all good things come to them through Christ.
For Jesus is our Rest and He is our Peace.
His guidance is gentle; His yoke fits and is right.
He gives us the revelation of the Father
as we eat from the tree of life.
This is the refreshing of the Lord.
