#7: THE WISDOM OF GOD
(from Ephesians and Colossians)
Like a most precious jewel with many sides,
the great treasure of God’s wisdom has many facets.
(Ephesians 3:10)
You who have received the Good News
of redemption and forgiveness of sins
through the precious blood of Christ,
Set your affections on Jesus
and the treasures and blessings that are above,
and not on things on this earth.
(Colossians 1:14, 3:1-3, Ephesians 1:7, 13)
Hold fast to Jesus, the Word of God,
who causes you to grow with an increase from God.
(Colossians 2:19)
And continue your walk in Christ by faith
and by the grace of God -
in the same way as you received Christ.
(Colossians 2:6, Ephesians 2:8)
Reject the speculations and vain reasoning of man’s philosophy
and receive the pure philosophy of Christ.
For though His gospel seems foolish to those who reject it,
it is filled with the wisdom and power of God.
(Colossians 2:8, I Corinthians 1:17-24)
Look to Christ for wisdom,
for in Him lives all the fullness of God
and through union with Him
you can receive the answers you need.
For you are complete in Him, in whom
are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Therefore walk and abide in Him in whom are all the treasures
of wisdom and knowledge.
And you are complete in Him, who has authority
over all principalities and powers.
(Colossians 2:2-3, 6-7, 9-10, I Peter 3:22, Ephesians 1:19-23)
“I, Wisdom, would show you the things
that are freely given to you by God:
a calling full of hope and vision,
an inheritance, rich and glorious,
and God’s power, vast and great.
I reveal the wealth of the life to which God has called you
and the blessings that God has promised you.
(Ephesians 1:17-20, I Corinthians 2:12-13, Acts 20:32)
Darkness is far from Me, for I dwell in the light.
And I bring those who love Me into the inheritance
of all good things through God’s Beloved Son.”
(Colossians 1:12-14, I John 1:5-7, Romans 8:16-17, 32)
