# 29: VICTORY OVER FEAR
Note: In today’s devotional, we will meditate on victory over fear and receiving God’s bold and fearless faith:
Courageous faith, working by love that casts out fear,
gives us victory.
(I John 5:4-5, 4:18, Galatians 5:6, Joshua 1:6, 8-9).
The naïve are ruled by fear, but he who is in the way of life
focuses on the love, power and wisdom of God.
(II Timothy 1:7)
Resist the spirit of fear and watch him flee!
And receive the Spirit of power, love and a sound mind,
and reach out with love, power and a sound mind
to help others.
(II Timothy 1:7, James 4:7, Romans 8:15)
There is no fear of anything for the one
who is filled with love, for God’s love dispels all fear.
(I John 4:18)
A soul who fully trusts in God is not afraid;
and a heart set with faith upon Christ is not troubled.
(John 14:1, 27)
One without faith is afraid of losing all when he dies.
Christ sets us free from such bondage; for life in Christ
is far better than physical life and all it offers.
(Hebrews 2:14-15, Philippians 1:23)
A good witness for Christ doesn’t depend on his speaking ability
or on man’s wisdom as he shares Christ.
He shares even when he feels weak or afraid.
For he relies on the power of the Spirit of God to assist him.
(I Corinthians 2:1-5)
Naïve Christians fear the devil and demons,
but all evil spirits tremble in fear at
the greatness and the power of God.
(James 2:19)
During perilous times fear is rampant,
but the righteous live by faith and love.
(II Timothy 3:1, Luke 21:26, Romans 1:17, Galatians 2:20, 3:11, 5:6, Hebrews 10:38)
Some are subject to the bondage of fear
all of their lives.
But the righteous are delivered from fear and death,
because the Lord Jesus defeated the devil,
who has the power of death.
(Hebrews 2:14-15)
Jesus Christ removed the sting, the hurt, and the fear of death
for His followers.
He abolished death and brought forth eternal life.
Therefore we are now conquerors over death, hell, and fear.
(I Cor. 15:54-57, Acts 2:24, II Timothy 1:10, Hebrews 2:14-15)
