#6: THE GREATNESS OF JESUS,
part two
The Heavenly Light came, giving light to all in the world,
but many hated him and would not accept his words.
But as many as receive Jesus, the Light of the world,
the God of love gives them the right to become
His children, even those who have faith in His name.
(John 1:9-12, I John 4:16)
The Word of truth became flesh and walked among us
and was full of grace and the glory of God.
(John 1:14)
Whenever Jesus, God’s Truth and Light to the world, is lifted up,
darkness is repelled and people are drawn to Him.
(John 12:31-32)
As God commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
He shines truth’s light into our hearts,
enabling us to see His glory through Jesus Christ.
(II Corinthians 4:6, 3:14-16)
Like rays of light from the morning sun bringing healing
and restoration, the Risen Christ beams forth light and healing
to all who believe.
(Luke 1:78-79, Malachi 4:2)
Jesus is the Way to the Father, the Truth who sets us free,
and the Life of God.
(John 14:6, 8:31-32)
Like lightening flashing and enlightening the full sky,
so shall be the coming of Christ, our all-powerful King.
(Luke 17:24)
Blessed are those who obey
the meek and lowly Savior King.
They will be rewarded when the all-powerful King
comes in glory and spender.
(Matthew 10:32, 11:28-30, 25:31, Revelation 19:11-21, 22:12)
Do not live for food which does not last,
but seek the spiritual nourishment which Christ Jesus gives,
that lasts forever.
(John 6:35, 27, Matthew 6:31-33, I Timothy 4:6)
Christ, the Word of God and the Light of God,
coming from the very heart of God,
has revealed to us the mystery of God.
(John 1:18)
He is the shining brightness of all of God’s glory,
and a perfect picture of who God really is.
(Hebrews 1:3)
Whoever trusts in and relies on Jesus Christ
as the Son of God will have eternal life,
and Jesus will raise him up on the last day.
(John 6:40)
